ABA-LAB Course: A Step-by-Step Laboratory
Learn new skills to help children and adolescents with autism and other learning difficulties. The ABA-LAB course is an experimental project aimed at parents.
The project is aimed at parents who have attended or are attending a Theoretical-Practical ABA course provided by Data Driven ABA.
In general, anyone with behavioral or learning difficulties can benefit from ABA. The benefits are particularly noted for children, teenagers, and adults:
- with autism
- with ADHD
- with Down syndrome
- with eating disorders
- with intellectual disabilities
- who need learning support at school
- with learning difficulties such as dyslexia and related disorders
- who exhibit challenging behaviors such as aggression, self-injury, property destruction, non-compliance with adults
- and many more…
The Advanced Training Project for parents is designed to provide participants with greater practical skills in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), aiming to achieve a level of educational management for their children that goes beyond what is obtained through the basic course.
Participants will receive training on behavioral principles, direct assessment methods (e.g., criterion-referenced tests), implementation of behavior modification protocols, and data recording techniques.
The training sessions will include theoretical lessons and practical online activities, structured as hands-on workshops led by the project supervisor. Additionally, the project involves the participation of a second behavior analyst, acting as a supervisor, working alongside the responsible teacher.
Furthermore, the project offers ongoing learning support from the responsible teacher via instant messaging software.
- Provide participants with the theoretical knowledge to understand human behavior.
- Show the main behavioral assessment methods (e.g.: criteria tests).
- Provide participants with behavior analysis tools to identify the most effective educational choices in relation to the behavior under discussion.
- Sharing protocols for building new skills.
- Guide the participants in performing measurement and data recording exercises.
