Behavioral Practice Masterclass
Advanced supervised application program of Behavior Analysis on real cases
The Behavioral Practice Masterclass is an advanced training program, delivered live online, designed for individuals who already have a basic background in ABA and want to learn how to apply it in practice.
It is not an introductory course and does not aim to re-teach the principles. Rather, it is a pathway designed to show how those principles are used, in practice, to:
- address specific behavioral problems
- teach defined skill categories
- make data-based decisions
- adapt procedures when they are not effective
The work is based on real-life situations, through the analysis of videos, data, and graphs, observing step by step how reasoning and intervention take place in real applied contexts.
No pre-packaged protocols or “recipes” are provided. The focus is on applied reasoning, precision, and decision-making.
This program is designed for advanced students of Behavior Analysis who:
- have already completed basic ABA training
- want to understand how to solve specific problems, not only “in theory”
- wish to design and adapt procedures for defined repertoires
- are interested in observing and participating in real decision-making processes
- are willing to engage in intensive, supervised work
It is not suitable for individuals who have no prior training in ABA.
Core Students (maximum 4 participants)
Core Students work directly on their own case, applying procedures with the end user during live sessions, under the instructor’s supervision.
This format includes:
- access to all 48 hours of live training
- 1:1 supervised applied practice
- live analysis of videos, data, and graphs
- immediate feedback and guided corrections
- asynchronous support via WhatsApp
- 8 total hours of direct supervised practice, distributed across 4 sessions
Places are limited to 4 Core Students to ensure depth and quality of supervision.
Practice Students (maximum 20 participants)
Practice Students take part in the full program and observe the applied work carried out by Core Students.
This format includes:
- access to all 48 hours of live training
- observation of supervised practice
- theoretical explanations and clarification of applied reasoning
- independent practice activities completed offline (structured exercises, labs)
- opportunity to bring videos, data, and questions for discussion
No real-time direct application with the end user is included.
- Format: online, live (Zoom)
- Total duration: 48 hours
- Number of sessions: 16
- Duration of each session: 3 hours (with optional extended time, up to 4 hours)
- One single class per edition
- The schedule is agreed upon with Core Students before the start
The work carried out in the Masterclass focuses on concrete and operational goals, brought directly by the participants.
No predefined modules are followed: each edition is structured around the real problems and objectives present within the group.
For illustrative purposes, interventions addressed during the program may include:
- reduction of food selectivity and expansion of food variety
- reduction of problem behaviors (screaming, aggression, avoidance, oppositional behavior, etc.)
- increase of functional and symbolic play skills
- teaching new communication skills, verbal or nonverbal
- increasing participation in tasks and structured activities
- development of independence in daily living activities
- improving fluency in already established skills (language, reading, math, imitation, etc.)
- teaching specific academic skills (reading, writing, calculation, school-related tasks)
- expanding response repertoires and reducing behavioral rigidity
For each goal, applied work focuses on:
- clear definition of the target behavior or skill
- selection and implementation of procedures
- data collection and graph construction
- analysis of progress and procedural adjustments over time
The objectives addressed may concern any relevant domain, depending on the cases and the participants’ training needs.
Direct practice (Core Students only)
Real-time application with the end user, under the instructor’s supervision, using videos, data, and graphs.
Indirect practice (all participants)
Structured labs, guided observation of direct practice, and analysis of videos and graphs provided by participants to refine implementation and decision-making.
