In general, anyone with behavioral or learning difficulties can benefit from ABA. The benefits are particularly noted for children, teenagers, and adults:
- with autism
- with ADHD
- with Down syndrome
- with eating disorders
- with intellectual disabilities
- who need learning support at school
- with learning difficulties such as dyslexia and related disorders
- who exhibit challenging behaviors such as aggression, self-injury, property destruction, non-compliance with adults
- and many more…
Thanks to targeted laboratory activities and interactive discussions with the students, participants will be guided in learning how to apply ABA to behavioral problems of various kinds.
The learning materials will be drawn from the courses in Programming (Programming interventions to teach new skills), Methodology (Behavioral Research Methodology), and Performance Management (Staff training and supervision), published by Data Driven ABA.
ATTENTION: The study program is not fixed. It will be tailored to the laboratory activities carried out in each session.
This course does not claim to solve behavioral problems live, but rather to show how an applied behavior-analytic intervention would be developed to address the specific problem.
In the PROGRAM, for illustrative purposes, the learning objectives related to the three courses mentioned above are presented, and they will serve as a general framework for the development of this course. For each edition, the learning objectives will be selected by the instructor from those listed in the program. The selection will be made at the instructor’s discretion, based on the Candidates’ requests for the laboratory activities.
