CEU: +14 General ABA Topics and +1 Ethics

The course covers topics that require a basic understanding of behavior analysis as well as minimal control over the final user for the execution of the laboratory.

By “minimal control,” we mean:

  • The user sits when requested, even with help.
  • The user remains seated for the required time, even with help.
  • The user follows most of the adult’s instructions, even with help.
  • The user does not display severe problem behaviors.

Participation is free, but it is recommended only for individuals who have already completed a curriculum that includes the topics listed in the following program: IBT Course Syllabus.

The prerequisites indicated here ensure a sufficient foundation for understanding the topics covered in the course.

Up to 40% of typically developing children and 85% of children with autism experience food selectivity issues.

The most common and empirically supported treatment for children with autism is behavioral intervention based on ABA principles, which has also proven effective for children with other conditions.

Expanding skills and acquiring practical tools derived from scientific research allows professionals to be more effective in resolving food selectivity issues.

Parents, behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts, psychologists, educators, speech therapists, nutritionists, occupational therapists, TPNEE (Specialized Educational Neuropsychology and Psychopedagogy Technicians).

  • Specific pre-treatment assessment procedures.

The course includes a laboratory with the following features:

  • 9 hours of training divided into 3 sessions (3+3+3).
  • During the first session, the student will create a behavior modification protocol.
  • During the next two sessions, the student will receive feedback on the data collected and the graph created.

The course will be considered complete, and a certificate of completion (and CEU credits) will be provided only after passing a final exam.

The exam consists of a multiple-choice test to be taken within 6 months from the end of the course, with a passing requirement of 100%.

If the student does not take the exam within six months and wishes to do so afterward, they must arrange the details with the instructor. In this case, additional fees will apply, which will be communicated during the booking process.
