ABA-LAB • Advanced Training in Behavior Analysis
Learn more skills to help your child!
The project is a laboratory: we guide you step-by-step
Experimental Project for Parents and Teachers of children and teenagers with autism and other learning difficulties.
Grazie per la fiducia!
The project is aimed at parents and/or teachers who have attended or are attending a Theoretical-Practical ABA course provided by Data Driven ABA.
The advanced training project for parents and teachers has been designed to provide participants with greater practical skills in Behavior Analysis (ABA), in order to achieve an effectiveness in the educational management of their children or students beyond that obtained following participation in the basic course.
Project participants will receive training on the principles governing behavior, direct assessment methods (e.g. criteria tests), the application of behavior modification protocols and data recording.
The work sessions will include theoretical lessons and practical online activities in the form of laboratories directed by the manager. The project includes the participation of a second behavior analyst as a supervisor, in co-presence with the responsible, for one meeting per month.
The project also provides for continuous learning support by the responsible via instant messaging software, 6 days out of 7 (during working hours).
• Provide participants with the theoretical knowledge to understand human behavior.
• Show the main behavioral assessment methods (e.g.: criteria tests).
• Provide participants with behavior analysis tools to identify the most effective educational choices in relation to the behavior under discussion.
• Sharing protocols for building new skills.
• Guide the participants in performing measurement and data recording exercises.
Participation fee: € 960 (for 20 hours of training). Registrations without payment of the fee will not be considered.
The refund of the participation fee will be made only and exclusively:
- in case the project responsible cancel the project or postpone it
- in case of withdrawal by the customer according to the rules defined in the “Withdrawal Policy” (see “General Terms and Conditions of Sale with… Francesca Siciliano or Nicola Cefalo“).
The project takes place in a group and involves 4 participants. It is delivered in the form of a two-month package (subject to calendar adjustments), including a total of 20 hours of training. The meetings are scheduled once a week for a duration of 2 hours each, plus a monthly meeting of 2 hours with a second behavior analyst: Michael Nicolosi, Psychologist (CH), BCBA®, IBA®.
It is necessary to have a Mac or PC computer and Microsoft Excel or Apple Numbers software to carry out the practical activities. A wristwatch with a programmable stopwatch and timer is also recommended (for example, sports watches to program running and rest times).
Data collection grids and any other materials will be provided to each participant by the project manager.
